Role: Procurement Assistant
Location: Dublin 12
The Procurement Assistant will encompass roles and responsibilities that span the Procurement functions along with administrative and other duties.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years' experience working in a similar role within the construction sector with a Mechanical or Plumbing background.
.Providing day-to-day support in the management of supplier agreements from gathering business requirements to placing orders
.Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies
.Assist accounts department in the processing of invoices and checking invoices against purchase orders
.Day to day liaison with suppliers
.Supporting on the negotiation of contracts/agreements with suppliers
.Ensuring that accurate records are maintained
.Supporting and developing the on-going monitoring and performance against defined targets of performance, cost and deliver
.1+ years experience in procurement or buying role in the construction sector (preferential knowledge of SAGE accounting package)
.Ambitious and driven individual
.Proficient in Microsoft office
.Background in Mechanical/Plumbing industry preferable
.Can multi-task and manage time efficiently to oversee multiple projects at any time
.Is well-organized and maintains a high level of attention to detail.
.Good Financial and Quantitative skills
.Strong analytical ability and advanced Excel skills
.Ability to clearly communicate analysis results verbally and in written form.
.Good at managing internal and supplier communication
