Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer to facilitate the connection of new generation, demand and interconnection customers to the transmission system. This role involves the project management of large-scale infrastructure projects - on-time and within budget, respecting established governance and controls. The role holder will work on projects across their entire life cycle - from project initiation, through construction and commissioning and right up to project close.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively to customers and business stakeholders, (including senior management team), via meetings, presentations and reports.

You will support the development of high-performance capabilities and behaviours within the team and a proactive customer and stakeholder engagement approach. We will look to you to review and develop procedures and documentation for quality and accuracy.

You will hold an engineering degree or equivalent, typically with 4+ years' experience. You will have proven experience in managing large infrastructure projects, balancing a proficiency in project management with a developed understanding of power systems.

You will have the ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders and be able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. You will experience conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions or new ways of doing things with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, while also being able to define and guide own work under minimal supervision.

You will have commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation. A full driver's license is essential for this role
